We look forward to a lifelong caring relationship with our valued patients by offering the best possible combination of treatment, efficiency, protection, and comfort. We have introduced a novel approach to upgrade the level of healthcare for our present patients who have entrusted their health to us.
Five health assessments are presented to educate and create an awareness of the individual’s health.
The first risk assessment purviews the patient’s general health and improves his or her knowledge of its connection with dental health. For example, any category of heart disease vulnerability is triggered by periodontal or gum disease. There is also a higher risk of infection in people who have diabetes.
The second assessment is taking intra-oral photographs of patients’ teeth and giving them an opportunity to see the state of the teeth and tissues in their mouth. We explain basic guidelines of normal and abnormal of what we may see when we look at their teeth. We examine and evaluate the teeth, and based on those guidelines we give them some options and they decide the course of action that’s best for them. Our dental values are not forced on our patients. The choice is always theirs, but is it our responsibility to educate our patients and help them understand their dental problems and the risks involved. We continue to support them and their dental values.
The third assessment is for the restorative component. Intraoral photographs taken to show them their teeth. These are explained and different methods of treatment are available to assist them. They decide what‘s best for them depending on their time, budget and dental values.
The fourth assessment is periodontal screening. The photographs help the patient understand the state below the gum line. In fact, from a tissue and bones viewpoint, germs attack beneath the gum line and destroy the bone that supports the teeth. If it can’t be controlled with regular brushing or flossing alone, the next option is laser therapy. The laser penetrates under the gums and draws the deep bacteria into the laser light destroying them.
The last assessment is an examination of the patient’s bite to show its nature, quality and the manner in which it relates to headaches, neck or jaw pain like popping and clicking joints. We help our patients understand what occurs and recommend a Neuromuscular Test. This test locates the ideal bite to avoid tooth wear and stops their headaches, neck and other muscle related pains.
We welcome our loyal patients to enjoy the extra benefits we provide.
