If I was coming into your practice as a patient, how will my experience be different than walking into someone else's office?

A patient stepping into Dr. Brossoit’s office feels special. His caring style and expertise in dentistry naturally builds confidence in a patient.

Time being precious to both patient and the doctor, punctuality is important here so that no one complains of any time wasted.

The next obvious difference we take pride in is that the patient is more proactive in the course of their diagnostic treatment.

Typically, in a regular dentist office, the patient sits down, the dentist examines the teeth and makes recommendations for treatment. Our practice, on the other hand, involves taking intra oral photographs of the patient’s teeth and later placing them up on a screen, so that the patient too can have a look at any cavities that need filling or other dental problems that need attention. We make sure our patients understand what they are looking at and they can then help us decide what’s important to them, as well as what they would like us to treat and what their priorities are. Having said this, we are not going to let anyone skip something or unknowingly make a decision that’s not healthy or wise. But we certainly want their input and feedback as far as what is important to them and we welcome that.

Another thing that makes us unique is that we have thorough screenings at our re-care visits. These help patients to spot other potential health problems as well. For example, when a patient comes in for a cleaning, often times a cold laser treatment is used to help resolve an infection that is going on underneath the gums. This helps eliminate advances of destructive gum disease and helps prevent future gum surgery.

In addition to the superior care that patients receive, the most unique thing about our practice is that as a dentist Dr. Brossoit can wear two different hats: the general dentist hat and the neuromuscular dentist hat. As a general dentist, Dr. Brossoit treats any existing bite, whether it is a good bite or a bad bite. But as a neuromuscular dentist, he helps patients understand what is going on possibly with headaches, neck aches, ear aches, or other chronic upper body muscle pain and how that ties into their bite.
